W.net appoints 2013 board of directors
McLean, Va., Jan. 10, 2013 Womens Network in Electronic Transactions (W.net) is proud to announce its 2013 Board of Directors. The 2013 Board lead by President Patty Bengtson, Group Executive, CFO Merchant Segment, TSYS Acquiring Solutions, will deliver its members a robust array of opportunities for professional growth so that W.net members will continue to advance in the industry.
The Womens Network in Electronic Transactions has assembled a Board of accomplished women representing all facets of the electronic transactions industry, said Bengtson. I look forward to working with this talented group of professionals to promote women in electronic transactions and lead our organization into the future.
Serving on the executive team, the President-Elect is Lisa Shipley, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Accounts, First Data Corporation; the Treasurer is Linda Rosetti, President, Bluestone Payments, LLC; the Secretary is Chris Lee, President, NA Strategic Partnerships & Emerging Markets, Moneris Solutions; and the Immediate Past President is Marla Knutson, President, TransFirst, LLC.
The three new directors are Carol L. Grunberg, Senior Manager-Google Payments & Head of Strategic Partner Management, Google; Joan Herbig, CEO, ControlScan; and Nina Vellayan, President & CEO, FrontStream Payments Inc.
An integral part of the Board of Directors is W.nets founders. Their insights into the industry and vision for the organization are important facets for continued organizational success. Diane Faro, W.net Founder and President, Faro Payments Consulting, Inc; Linda Perry, W.net Founder and Consultant, Linda S. Perry Consulting; and Holli Targan, W.net Founder and Attorney and Partner, Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, P.C., continue to give their time and energy to advancing the organization to new heights.
The Directors beginning a new term are Gloria Calgon, Managing Director, Market Platform Dynamics; Peggy Bekavac Olson, Founder & Principle, Strategic Marketing; Christine Scappa, Senior Vice President, Operations & Sales, Sage Payments Division; and Stacia Smith, Regional Sales Director, First Data Corporation.
